Evanston Democrats,

I am proud to announce The Democratic Party of Evanston is launching The Schakowsky Campaign Organizer School to bring some of the brightest stars in Illinois politics and grassroots campaigns to Evanston to teach 20 young progressive democrats how to organize political campaigns.  Interested?  Know someone who is? All are welcome but young people are particularly encouraged to apply.

This is a defining election for progressives. 2018’s successes were historic, flipping the house and taking back state gubernatorial seats, but we need to do it again. Trump needs to go and we need to flip the Senate. Republican’s might have been unprepared for the organized progressive energy behind the 2018 Blue Wave but we know they are ready this time.

Students will learn campaigning theory, how to recruit and manage teams of volunteers, how to use the Democratic campaigning technology stack, how to organize and operate canvasses and phone banks. The campaign organizer school’s goal is to train organizers who can make a difference the first day on a campaign. No training required. Just come in, fill in where needed and help create the momentum needed to take back the Senate and remove Donald Trump.
